Our client, a prestigious organisation in the financial services sector, is seeking an ambitious Trainee Tax Administrator to join their tax team. This entry-level role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in tax compliance services for trust clients. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive on-the-job training, attend external courses, and gain support towards achieving professional qualifications, including Tax Technician and Chartered Tax Adviser certifications.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with the preparation of tax reporting for trusts and companies in the Crown Dependencies and the UK.
Reviewing trust and company accounts to identify tax reporting obligations.
Drafting economic substance reviews for corporate entities.
Liaising with internal departments and responding to tax queries from trust administrators.
Drafting correspondence with tax authorities regarding payments and returns.
Maintaining and updating compliance tasks and spreadsheets to ensure accurate records.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and eager to build a career in tax administration. While no prior tax experience is required, the role requires strong numeracy and computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
