Our client’s Guernsey Litigation team delivers exceptional service to a diverse portfolio of financial institutions, fiduciary service providers, commercial entities, and private individuals and are looking for a driven Associate to join them.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Managing and coordinating client work, including legal research, drafting opinions, reviewing documentation, and preparing cases for court.
Delivering high-quality, timely, and professional client service.
Liaising with clients and providing legal advice as delegated by the partners.
Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
Drafting and reviewing a variety of legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
Supervising and mentoring junior team members, including paralegals and trainees.
Collaborating on multidisciplinary and international projects with colleagues across teams and offices.
Maintaining accurate time recording, billing, and collections in line with firm policies.
Supporting business development initiatives, identifying opportunities to grow client relationships, and enhancing the firm’s reputation.

Skills / Qualifications

You will have 1 to 3 years of PQE with a UK or Commonwealth qualification and relevant litigation experience. Strong drafting skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and financial awareness are essential for this role. Previous experience in an offshore jurisdiction is an advantage but not required. You’ll thrive in this position if you bring a proactive, client-focused approach, exceptional organizational skills, and a disciplined, detail-oriented mindset.
