This role involves leading the Insurance Management team in overseeing the administration of insurance companies for clients without a local presence. You’ll be at the forefront of managing key insurance operations and ensuring seamless service delivery. Additionally, the team supports companies in arranging essential coverages, including death in service and permanent health insurance (PHI) plans.

Responsibilities
Duties for this role will include engaging with client boards, committees, service providers, and advisors, ensuring high standards of service delivery in line with agreed service levels. You’ll oversee compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, prepare and present reports to client boards, and serve as the main contact with external bodies. Additionally, you’ll support new business initiatives, collaborate with the compliance team, and contribute to achieving the company’s business plan and budget. Your responsibilities include managing the Insurance Management Team, conducting appraisals, implementing policy improvements, overseeing operational risk, and participating in key committees.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold an ACII qualification (or be working towards it) with proven experience in insurance company management, ideally within life insurance. Strong technical knowledge of Guernsey's legal and regulatory requirements for insurance companies is essential, as is experience in managing and leading a team. Familiarity with influencing, supporting, and implementing change will be a valuable advantage.
