Our client is at the forefront of financial regulation, overseeing the stability and integrity of banking, insurance, and financial services in Guernsey - they are now looking for a Technical Specialist (Banking) to bring expertise in Basel III and risk management.

Responsibilities
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:Advising on and assisting with applications for licences, products, and exemptions.
Handling day-to-day supervision, including reviewing notifications, submissions, and regulatory changes affecting licensees.
Leading on-site supervision, including planning, coordinating, and executing firm-specific visits, internal sector reviews, and thematic reviews.
Identifying and monitoring risks within the banking sector, including emerging risks, and preparing briefings or reports for internal stakeholders.
Reviewing regulatory findings and ensuring compliance with best practices.
Engaging with industry professionals, regulators, and internal teams to uphold regulatory standards and support the sector’s development.
