Responsibilities
This role involves day-to-day bookkeeping for companies and trusts, preparing accounts to trial balance, and producing basic sets of accounts with support while developing review skills. You’ll maintain statutory records and prioritise tasks to meet targets set by managers. Attendance at courses and pursuit of trust qualifications are encouraged. At Officer and Senior Officer levels, additional duties include managing a client portfolio, delegating tasks, and guiding junior staff with constructive feedback.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a professional trust qualification (such as STEP or Chartered Governance Institute) or demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing one. They should have solid technical knowledge of trusts, some understanding of tax (depending on level), and excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
