An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated individual to join our client's IT team as a trainee. This role is ideal for someone eager to build a career in IT, contributing to a dynamic organisation by providing essential support.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Acting as the first point of contact on the helpdesk, diagnosing and resolving reported issues and user requests.
Providing support for desktop and mobile equipment deployments, updates, and maintenance.
Managing system support, administration, and monitoring of company systems.
Assisting with telephony setup, including mobile devices and desktop handsets, and managing the Call Centre Telephony Solution.
Logging, prioritising, and managing incidents and service requests accurately.
Maintaining and updating system documentation, user access records, and licenses.
Performing routine tasks such as backups and log checks, and assisting in disaster recovery testing.
Providing remote and deskside support for various business units, ensuring operational efficiency.
Monitoring systems to identify and resolve failures promptly.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for technology and a desire to develop a career in IT. Key attributes include basic experience in IT support, proficiency with Windows systems and Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, and the ability to assist non-technical users. Airside work is necessary, so it will be essential to successfully complete GSAT security training and obtain an appropriate airside pass.
