This is an exciting opportunity to join our clients' senior leadership team of a global organisation as Head of Guernsey Compliance & MLRO! As the key compliance lead for the Guernsey operations, you’ll be responsible for managing financial crime risk, leading regulatory engagement, and supporting the business through strategic compliance guidance.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Acting as MLCO and MLRO for Guernsey-based entities, managing regulatory reporting and engagement.
Overseeing the execution of the Compliance Programme, ensuring adherence to local laws and group standards.
Providing advisory support on risk and compliance matters across law and fiduciary business areas.
Drafting board reports and offering insights based on compliance data and trends.
Leading training initiatives and supporting the implementation of financial crime prevention strategies.
Conducting horizon scanning to ensure readiness for regulatory changes.
Managing and developing the Guernsey compliance team, with potential for team expansion.
Collaborating with global and regional teams to ensure consistency in compliance standards.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a senior compliance or risk management role within a regulated financial services environment. Prior experience as, or deputising for, an MLRO/MLCO is essential. A deep understanding of Guernsey’s regulatory framework and anti-financial crime measures is required. Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills are critical, along with a strategic mindset and data-driven approach to compliance management.
