Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Acting as the first point of contact for all people-related matters, offering guidance, coaching and support to managers while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Leading the People & Culture administration team, ensuring effective delivery of day-to-day HR operations.
Overseeing all aspects of recruitment alongside the Senior Administrator and the Board, including planning, CV reviews, interviews, onboarding and agency liaison.
Driving and developing the continuous feedback and bi-annual performance review cycle, including leading calibration sessions, supporting 1-2-1s and facilitating training.
Designing and implementing HR strategies and policies aligned with the organisation’s wider business goals, including data protection responsibilities.
Advising and supporting management on complex employee relations issues such as grievances, conduct and capability matters, and engaging with legal representatives when required.
Staying informed of changes in employment law and applying professional judgement to assess relevance and impact on the business.
Managing all employee benefit schemes, from broker communications to renewals and administration.
Identifying skills gaps and coordinating training using internal and external resources.
Producing quarterly board reports and attending meetings to provide context when needed.
Mentoring and managing the People & Culture team, including conducting performance reviews and acting as a coach to others across the business.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with significant HR experience (minimum 6 years) and ideally hold or be working towards CIPD Level 5. They will bring a proactive, positive approach, demonstrating strong leadership, discretion, and excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential, along with sound judgement, attention to detail and a genuine interest in fostering a people-first culture.
