A well-established independent fiduciary and fund administration provider is looking for a Compliance Manager. Known for fostering a collaborative environment, this organisation is committed to supporting career progression and work-life balance. They are seeking a new member for their Compliance team, with scope to tailor the position from Senior Administrator through to Senior Manager level depending on experience.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Supporting the firm’s compliance with regulatory obligations and internal policies.
Developing and maintaining effective compliance monitoring programmes.
Assisting with or leading regulatory reporting and liaising with relevant authorities as required.
Providing compliance advice across the business and acting as a point of contact for related queries.
Monitoring regulatory developments and assisting in the implementation of any required changes.
Drafting and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and training material.
Contributing to internal audits, remediation programmes, and periodic reviews.
Supporting or overseeing the onboarding process from a regulatory perspective, including KYC and CDD checks.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold, or be working towards, a recognised compliance qualification and have at least five years’ experience within Guernsey’s finance compliance or risk sector. A solid knowledge of THEMIS and experience liaising with the Financial Intelligence Unit are essential, and prior experience in a Prescribed Position role would be beneficial.

Strong knowledge of Guernsey’s regulatory environment, particularly in the investment and funds sector, is required. Excellent communication skills, a proactive and solutions-focused mindset, and the ability to work independently to high standards and tight deadlines are all key. You should also be confident drafting clear policy and procedural documents.
