Responsibilities
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:Performing double-entry bookkeeping and assisting with the month-end process, from transactional data to trial balance, including reconciliations.
Managing time charge records and preparing financial data to support monthly reporting.
Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring fee receipts are correctly posted and reconciled to the general ledger.
Preparing debtor ageing reports and liaising with administrators and management regarding outstanding balances.
Supporting quarterly billing and assisting with data analysis and reporting across systems.
Contributing to the preparation for the annual audit and assisting with ad-hoc clerical and administrative support as required.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have solid double-entry bookkeeping experience, a clear understanding of transactional accounting up to trial balance, and be confident managing financial data using accounting software. Experience working within financial services and familiarity with time-charging platforms are highly desirable. Strong Excel and data analysis skills are essential, as are excellent organisational and communication abilities. Applicants should be methodical, accurate, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.A bookkeeping certificate or part CAT qualification is expected, along with GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above in English and Mathematics.
