Our client is seeking a driven and experienced professional to join their Financial Crime Division as an Assistant Director. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to lead, manage, and influence critical regulatory initiatives aimed at safeguarding the integrity of Guernsey’s financial services.

Responsibilities
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:Supporting the delivery of high-quality financial crime regulation, including risk-based supervision and policy creation.
Managing divisional operations by overseeing staff workloads, monitoring performance, and ensuring high-quality outputs.
Coaching and developing team members, conducting appraisals, and identifying training needs to foster growth and leadership.
Planning, leading, and reviewing financial crime risk-driven on-site inspections and post-inspection reports.
Collaborating on the development of new legislation, rules, and guidance to meet local and international standards.
Acting as a key liaison with industry representatives, regulators, and government, contributing to workshops, presentations, and policy discussions.
Representing the organisation at meetings locally and internationally, sharing insights and driving industry best practices.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished leader with a strong understanding of financial crime prevention, including the Countering Financial Crime Handbook (AML/CFT/CPF). They will possess excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams while managing competing priorities effectively.How To Apply
