An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Network Fitter to join a dedicated team in Guernsey. In this role, you’ll contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the island’s gas distribution network, ensuring high standards and reliability in service delivery across the network. Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Mains replacement/diversion projects.
New service installations.
Mains/services surveying and service disconnections.
Supporting the Network Lead and Duty Personnel in managing public reported emergencies (PREs).
Conducting routine and non-routine maintenance on the gas distribution network and related equipment.
Providing technical input for hazard resolution and assist with operational data collection.
Collaborating with the team to address hazards, control leaks, and ensuring minimal disruption to customers.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate should be certified at NCO (Gas) Level 2 with expertise in service and mains laying, as well as in locating and repairing gas leaks. They must hold a SHEA-G certification with valid EUSR registration and have strong knowledge of gas networks. A full clean driving licence is required, alongside effective communication skills. An HGV licence and familiarity with IGEM standards are considered advantageous.
