Our client is a globally respected financial services organisation, renowned for their commitment to innovation, compliance excellence, and ethical leadership. They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Deputy MLRO/MLCO to play a pivotal role in strengthening their Guernsey Compliance team.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Supporting the MLRO and MLCO in their responsibilities, including deputising for the MLRO when required.
Managing IDRs, including externalising reports, maintaining registers, and handling related queries.
Assisting in the implementation and oversight of a robust Financial Crime control framework.
Facilitating internal and external audits related to Financial Crime.
Preparing and delivering internal and external reports for committees, boards, regulators, and Group Compliance.
Reviewing and signing off onboarding and periodic review processes.
Monitoring compliance with Guernsey's financial crime legislation.
Supporting strategic projects to upgrade or enhance monitoring and surveillance systems.
Addressing findings from Compliance Investigations and second-line testing activities.
Collaborating with jurisdictional and Group stakeholders on initiatives and strategic partnerships.
Conducting or assisting with AML/CFT training and on-site business visits.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of compliance experience within an international financial services organisation, preferably in the banking industry. They will possess a deep understanding of financial crime, regulatory compliance, and international sanctions obligations specific to Guernsey. Holding an applicable qualification, such as an ICA Diploma, is essential.
