Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Investigating and assessing applications for authorisation, registration, or licensing across various financial sectors.
Conducting risk-based due diligence and internet-based searches on individuals and entities, summarising findings for decision-making.
Ensuring internal records and systems remain accurate and up to date.
Preparing and presenting information to decision-makers within the division.
Handling enquiries from colleagues, licensees, regulators, and other professionals by collating and summarising relevant information.
Producing high-quality written reports that are clear, concise, and serve as official records.
Participating in internal meetings and contributing insights in a professional manner.
Collaborating with colleagues across the team, assisting with training, and adapting to different working styles.
Managing workloads effectively, prioritising tasks, and keeping senior members informed of any issues.
Continuously developing professional knowledge of regulatory laws, rules, codes, and industry best practices.
Suggesting and implementing process improvements to enhance the division’s efficiency.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical approach with experience in client due diligence (CDD) or onboarding. You will be comfortable assessing data critically and identifying inconsistencies in applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to engage professionally with a wide range of stakeholders. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and an interest in financial innovation will ensure success in this role.
