FTC - Network Services Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Services Engineer for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role focuses on the operational delivery of enterprise network and security services, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls, and managed network products, across customer environments in Jersey, Guernsey, or the Isle of Man.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Managing network and security incidents, performing root cause analysis, and escalating as needed.
Executing customer network change requests aligned with processes and policies.
Supporting operational systems and tools to meet service agreements and KPIs.
Implementing and supporting technical solutions both remotely and on-site.
Maintaining data centre operations, including cabling, infrastructure, and client support.
Participating in projects such as system migrations and service deployments.
Producing and maintaining documentation, including CAB requests and project reports.
Ensuring compliance with ITIL standards and regulatory requirements.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Cisco CCNA certification (or equivalent) or be capable of achieving it within a year. They should have experience in IP routing and switching environments, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a high degree of customer focus. Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or Ubiquiti products and Managed Service Provider environments is highly desirable. ITIL Foundation certification and a proactive, flexible approach to work will be advantageous.
