An exciting apprenticeship opportunity is available within our clients' dynamic underwriting team in Guernsey. This role offers hands-on experience, comprehensive training, and the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications while building a successful career in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Working alongside industry experts to gain practical experience in underwriting processes.
Developing skills in risk assessment and insurance principles through a structured training programme.
Engaging in a blended learning approach, incorporating work-based study, online and distance learning, and development workshops.
Supporting the underwriting team with administrative and operational tasks.
Developing strong communication and customer service skills while working with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a passion for learning and career development. They will demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and have a keen eye for detail with excellent analytical abilities. A friendly, inquisitive, and positive mindset is essential, along with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and working collaboratively within a team. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or 4-9), including Maths and English.
