Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Manage the day-to-day administration of a portfolio, including trusts, companies, and other structures.
Ensure full compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies, maintaining best practices across all areas.
Act as a primary contact for clients and intermediaries, handling queries and attending meetings.
Support relationship principals in building and maintaining client relationships.
Liaise with internal departments on accounting, taxation, and operational matters.
Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and training.
Act as a ‘B’ signatory and provide cover for other teams when required.
Identify areas for efficiency improvements and implement necessary changes.
Oversee staff performance, conducting appraisals, reviews, and workload delegation.

Skills / Qualifications

This role is suited to a highly experienced trust professional with at least 8 years of relevant experience and a STEP or ICSA Diploma (or equivalent qualification). The successful candidate will have a strong technical understanding of fiduciary structures, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage client relationships and lead a team. A deep knowledge of Guernsey’s regulatory framework, including AML and fiduciary laws, is essential, along with critical analysis, problem-solving, and leadership skills to drive both team and business success.
