Our client is a well-established and highly regarded independent trust company seeking a trainee to join their dedicated trust and corporate services team. Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with the setup and maintenance of statutory records, including minutes of directors' and shareholders' meetings and trustee resolutions.
Undertaking bookkeeping for companies and trusts up to trial balance.
Liaising with bankers regarding remittance of funds, deposit accounts, and investment transactions.
Opening trust and company bank accounts and managing related documentation.
Coordinating with brokers on investment transactions and settlement instructions.
Developing knowledge of company formations and trust structures through training.
Managing client correspondence via telephone and written communication.
Ensuring all documentation for client reviews is provided in a timely manner.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with timekeeping systems.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five GCSEs, including Maths and English at Grade C or above. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are desirable, as well as the ability to build effective relationships at all levels. A proactive and professional approach, coupled with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, is required as is the ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines. Candidates should be proficient in IT and willing to develop their knowledge through professional study if desired.
